“ Haven't been here in a while, but had a wonderful and tastey time having a bite here for lunch recently. The seafood is so fresh. The Oysters, calamari, clam chowder, hand rolls, etc.. were so tastey. Also as well, they have such a good cocktail and wine/beer selection. My daughter-in-law and I stopped in just for a glass of wine and oysters, and with the ocean air, great people watching, wonderful staff, a quick stop for a drink and apps with how the staff was... well 3 hours later. We were now ordering dinner and called our husbands to join us for dinner. Wine selection is nice, fantastic oysters, lobster roll is so delicious (you will not be able to stop thinking about it), even the french fries were great. I live in Michigan and I will be planning my next trip to LA around our visit to the Blue Plate Oysterette. Don't miss out on this gem. ”
“ What a wonderful dining experience. It is an art when food, service and atmosphere come together like it did for our meal last night at Blue Plate Oysterette. They had a wonderful cocktail list but I went for a local Pilsner which was a great complement to the Churashi Bowl and Lobster Mac n’ Cheese. Both awesome. DO NOT miss the Key Lime Pie it was incredible and the perfect way to cleanse our palates. Service is so important to have a great experience and your server Chase knew the menu and made us feel very welcome. We sat outside with a view of the ocean and the weather could not have been more perfect. Highly recommend and hope to come back again. ”
“ FANTASTIC!! Service, outside seating with the beautiful sunset, and amazing food...the perfect combination. To start, we asked for a sprite and a dirty martini for the lady, extra dirty. And we were surprised with exactly that, and even a side of pure olive juice! If that isn't thoughtfulness, I don't know what is. We then shared the fried calamari, half dozen oysters (West Coast), and I had the clam chowder bowl (no bread). The fried calamari was some of the BEST I've ever had. They were perfectly fried, yet soft...yes that combination exists! Paired perfectly with tartar sauce. The oysters were phenomenal, I wish I could recall the exact types we got but all I can share is, go with the West Coast and you can't go wrong. The clam chowder was also 10/10. A generous portion of clam paired with a creamy chowder..YUM. For main dishes, I went with the warm lobster roll...I'm sure you're seeing a pattern by now, but this is legitimately one of the best lobster rolls I've had. Again, a healthy portion of lobster and the buns...WOW, buttered and toasted to absolute perfection. With a dab of the butter it was heaven in every bite. I paired it with the fries and again, I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the fries were. I passed on the ketchup and instead dipped them in the tartar sauce, yes..try it before you judge me lol. My lady got the bowl, I again don't recall what it was but it was basically an enhanced poke style bowl with tuna, lobster, some other stuff and it was absolutely delicious. We did not have room for dessert, but next time, we'll be back for the Key Lime pie! ”
